Deb “PicklePong” Harrison Workshops – Excellent learning experience and a super fun time!!

Four days of packed to capacity Intense Workshops kicked off with a potluck “Meet ‘N Greet, Play with the Pros” event that also included musical entertainment by our own multi-talented Rachael Kroog!

Deb is a 4’11” dynamo who never took a break and was hands-on throughout the day. “Best day ever” and “when will she come back” was heard time and again.

Just another great event that Southwest Metro Pickleball Club provides for its members!!

About 25 people came to experience play on the newly refurbished courts at Garden Park in Edina, 5520 Hansen Road. They were most appreciative of the steps taken by the City to provide more quality locations to play pickleball.

Bob Campbell presented a check for $100 to the City of Edina from the SW Metro Pickleball Club to help offset the cost of four new nets. Accepting the donation are City of Edina representatives, Donna Tilsner and Eric Boettcher, Recreation Supervisors.

Results from 2016 7th Annual Miracle Ear Tournament

Southwest Metro Pickleball Club hosted our very successful 7th Annual Miracle-Ear Tournament over the weekend of August 5-7. This year Tria stepped up to be our second level sponsor, and we welcome their participation. Some of us have need for both these valuable supporters.

We had almost 300 registered players from 14 states and one Province. There were 250 teams competing in 29 Competition Events, and the quality of play was superb. All the players are to be congratulated.

We had many spectators, and they were treated to some of the finest play to watch for miles around. It was a fantastic opportunity to watch and learn.

We had a cadre of dedicated volunteers that worked their hearts out to make this one of the smoothest running tournaments to date. The list is too long to name all here, but they deserve a huge thank you for your time. We can’t make this happen year after year without these folks.
