Fitness Challenge – Win A Paddle!

Did You Know

that you take between 2,000 and 2,500 steps during an hour of pickleball? For an average adult, that’s comparable to walking a mile!

We’ve all heard the recommendation to try to get 10,000 steps every day. Why? Because it’s an easy, attainable goal that keeps you active and moving for a good portion of the day. We all know that activity is a good thing.

Who’s Up For A Challenge?

We’re issuing a challenge to all of our members. The challenge is simply – take steps, win prizes.

You’ll need a fitness tracker of some kind; a Fitbit, Garmin, Polar, or another wearable device, or a step-counting app on your phone.

You’ll also need to create an account on, and connect your fitness tracker to that account.

Once you have an account on, find and join the SW Metro Pickleball Club Fitness Challenge.

Two Ways To Win

The challenge begins October 1st and continues through October 31st. Your fitness tracker and the inKin web site will keep track of your steps, you just have to move. Play lots of pickleball! Walk. Run. Dance. Just keep moving!

The person with the OVERALL HIGHEST STEP COUNT at the end of the challenge will win a SW Metro Pickleball Club t-shirt. That’s one way to win.

But wait, there’s more! How about a new pickleball paddle? Each club member who joins the challenge is eligible for a random drawing to win one of this year’s Miracle Ear tournament paddles.

  • joining the challenge gets you one entry in the drawing
  • get 155,000 steps (5,000 per day) by October 31st, get a second entry in the drawing
  • get 310,000 steps (10,000 per day), get a third entry
  • get 465,000 steps (15,000 per day) or more, get a fourth entry

The drawing will take place at the club’s holiday party in December, winner must be present to accept the prize.
